Notice is hereby given to all professional architects duly registered with the Professional Architects’ Council that, for the purposes of section 6(1)(b) of the Professional Architects’ Council Act 2011, the Returning Officer will, on Friday 8th February 2019, between the hours of 2 p.m and 5 p.m, at the seat of the Professional Architect Council, 4th Floor, Discovery House, St Jean Road, Quatre-Bornes, the duly appointed nomination centre, receive the nomination of candidates for election as members of the above-mentioned Council and if there is no opposition, proceed to the election of 3 members of the aforesaid Council.
Forms of nomination paper may be obtained from the Registrar at the seat of the Professional Architects’ Council at the above named address between the hours of 9.30 a.m and 12.30 p.m on working days, except on Saturdays.
The nomination paper may also be requested from the Registrar by email (pac-arch@intnet.mu) at latest Wednesday 06 February 2019.
Every nomination paper must be duly filled and signed by the professional architect and be delivered, in person, to the Returning Officer between the said hours of 2 p.m and 5 p.m on 8th February 2019.
Every nomination paper shall specify the name, National Identity Card Number, Registration Number and address of the candidate and also contain a declaration by the candidate that on nomination day:
- (a) He/She is a professional architect and is not otherwise disqualified or suspended or deregistered;
- (b) He/She is not the subject of any investigation into a complaint for professional misconduct, malpractice, negligence, fraud or dishonesty;
- (c) He/She has settled all fees due, as may be applicable; and
- (d) He/She is a citizen of the Republic of Mauritius.
