Professional Architects' Council Mauritius

The Professional Architects’ Council (PAC) is a regulatory body established under the Professional Architects’ Council Act of 2011.

Its main role is to regulate and control the practice of architecture, in other words, to ensure that those practicing under the title ‘Architect’ are competent to do so.

Registration Information
Inform
Promote the advancement of architecture and advise the Minister on any matter relating to the profession.
Regulate
Regulate and control the practice of architecture and be responsible for registering professional architects. Exercise and maintain discipline in the profession.
Educate
Disseminate literature, in connection with new construction techniques, technology and materials, or any other related matter, to architects.
Develop
Organise or cause to be organised Continuous Professional Development programmes or any other programmes, courses, lectures, seminars or conferences.

The Council is formed through an equal mix of private and public sector architects, including a representative of the Mauritius Association of Architects, a representative of the ministry and a representative of the Attorney-General’s Office.
